The Hospitality & Tourism sector contributes significantly to Cook County’s economy, creating jobs, fostering cultural exchange and ensuring better quality of life benefits for its residents.

Tourism Alive is a program run by the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development to support the hospitality industry through a $10 million grant from the federal American Recovery Plan Act. The initiative, specifically targeting suburban Cook County, was proposed by 5 suburban convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs) after recent events wreaked havoc on the industry.
